Katadyn Micropur Forte Walter Purification Tablets

Katadyn Micropur Forte water treatment tabs are a critical piece of any cycle tourer or bikepacker's equipment list. Many parts of Australia have large gaps between drinkable water sources, and ground water or tank water should be treated to minimise the risk of ingesting bacteria and viruses. Even something as innocuous as using tank water for brushing teeth can lead to illness.

We would also recommend taking these on day rides in warmer weather as you can never be sure when you might be stuck out for longer than expected or need additional water due to hot weather. An "Australian Emergency Kit" might consist of a basic first aid kit, some water filtration tabs and a space blanket.
